The 11,000 m² MINATEC High-Tech Building (BHT) gives businesses the facilities they need—including twenty 70 m² clean rooms—to get their innovations to market in record time.

At the BHT, innovation-focused businesses team up with world-class scientists and engineers to carry out groundbreaking research. Such partnerships generally cover the following services:
- Identifying the most relevant lab for each research topic
- Setting up a joint project team made up of MINATEC researchers and the company’s own employees
- Turnkey facilities at the BHT—including clean rooms, labs, and office space—all “right-sized” for the project
- Project management as far into the project as the company wishes (e.g., until the demonstrator, prototyping, or pilot run phase)
Joint project teams work together on a daily basis tackling problems as they arise, thereby speeding the innovation process and boosting the chances of a successful transfer to the market. Sensitive projects are of course kept confidential; MINATEC does not make public any information about confidential projects—not even a company’s association with the BHT.
Some 300 jobs in the microelectronics and more traditional industries like energy, optics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and the auto industry have already been created thanks to MINATEC partnerships with SMEs and major corporations.
