MINATEC’s research addresses vital issues in the fields of healthcare, energy, and communication. In addition to the obvious scientific and technical challenges that need to be overcome, we are committed to answering the economic, societal, and environmental questions raised by our research.
At MINATEC, we feel strongly that the only way to find appropriate solutions to these challenges—and develop nanotechnologies that will truly have a positive impact on people’s lives and society as a whole—is to ensure that we remain open to diverse viewpoints and multiple approaches in our activities.
MINATEC has implemented a proactive policy to ensure that diverse viewpoints are heard:
- The MINATEC IDEAs Laboratory®, an innovation program unlike any other in Europe
- Awareness-raising campaigns targeting the general public to increase understanding of the issues related to nanotechnologies and their applications
- Events open to the general public, including lectures, exhibits, and information about nanotechnologies on the MINATEC website
