Leti plans to use some of its Instituts Carnot matching funds to pay for exchange programs with foreign labs and market Leti internationally, with the overriding objective of working with top-tier partners around the globe. The institute will set up chairs and researcher exchange programs each year, starting in 2016. These activities will strengthen ties to partners abroad and raise the institute’s international profile, positioning Leti to better support its industrial partners’ international strategies. Specifically, Leti will strengthen existing partnerships like the HTA Alliance (with CSEM, VTT, and Fraunhofer) in Europe; programs with Caltech, MIT, and Stanford in the US; and Tsukuba in Japan. The institute will also reach out to new partners and will pursue its work with the Instituts Carnot on international events and targeted communications campaigns.
