Thermal immunity of the thermosensitive material for microbolometers
Offer N°: SL-DRT-16-1059
Thermal imagers are experiencing the emergence of new products (consumer, automotive, home automation) in a very dynamic market. In answer to the growing interest for large size-high resolution images, developments are focusing on the reduction of the pixel pitch, which increases the requirements on thermosensitive materials.
Tunnel junctions in nitride heterostructures for optoelectronic applications
Offer N°: SL-DRT-16-1046
Light Emitting Diodes in the UV range are considered as potential alternatives to UV lamps for applications related to air and water sterilization. For such diodes, one will have to use wide band gap semiconductors, namely from the family of the III-nitrides compounds. Despite the important present day R&D efforts on the subject, such UV diodes have not yet reached sufficient efficiency.
New nanostructured architectures for hydrogen technology
Offer N°: SL-DSM-16-1015
This thesis is part of the theme of new energy, in particular the hydrogen route. It aims to develop and characterize the properties of an innovative architecture based on an aligned catalyst nanotube network to reduce the amount of noble metal in the fuel cell electrodes (PEMFC) and electrolyser (PEMWE) proton exchange membrane.
Spintronics based microwave signal generation and detection
Offer N°: SL-DSM-16-0996
The combination of two basic spintronics concepts: the spin momentum transfer and the magneto-resistance, provide spintronic devices with a large range of functions, such as field sensing, memory, logic and microwave emission and detection.
