Quantum transport: Kwant goes dynamic

INAC researchers, already active in the Kwant open-source quantum transport software development community, are at it again, this time with the T-Kwant add-on. T-Kwant can be used to examine the dynamics of quantum systems, such as to experiment with a charge pulse in a multi-terminal system, or to configure a quantum Hall interferometer, for instance. T-Kwant covers frequencies from the GHz to the THz. A first article on the research was accepted by a journal early this year; another was published in Nature Communication in April. The purely-mathematical work has been completed, and now all that remains is to fine-tune the software. T-Kwant should be as versatile and easy to use as Kwant, but you’ll have to wait at least a year before it is ready to download!
