Up-and-coming engineer at Grenoble Institute of Technology-Phelma wins award
Guillaume Tonk, a recent graduate of Grenoble Institute of Technology-Phelma, and a team of colleagues from other schools won the 2009 Young Entrepreneur Award from the Grenoble University Center for Entrepreneurship for their proposed start-up, Faery and Fiend. Guillaume, who has a passion for electronics and music, came up with an idea for a guitar business during his entrepreneurship courses at Phelma. He and his colleagues designed a touchpad which, when attached to the body of the guitar, lets musicians personalize their riffs by tracing curves on the touchpad surface. This novel idea should soon lead to an exciting new business!
