Eveon develops next generation of injection systems

Eveon, a Grenoble-based start-up, has started developing its next generation of plunger-free injection systems as part of a €4.5 million FUI project. Eveon is working with two manufacturers, A Raymond and Cedrat, and two laboratories, IMEP-LAHC and Léti. By mid-2013 they plan to create a miniaturized system that is more accurate than the current system, and that can be used to inject high-added-value molecules like vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. The dosage of some substances can be determined to the nearest microliter. The two laboratories are helping to develop the micropump (the core of the device), packaging, encapsulation, and connector, and will work on transferring the technology to industry. Eveon recently received the 2010 Innovative New Business award in the Innovative Products category from Usine Nouvelle magazine.
