Grenoble Institute of Technology-Phelma grads doing well in a tough economy

The 296 students of Grenoble Institute of Technology-Phelma’s class of 2008 received their diplomas at a ceremony held on November 28, 2009. Despite the tough economy, an impressive 84.3% of Phelma grads already had jobs lined-up upon graduation, down slightly from 88.8% a year earlier. Phelma graduates are able to find jobs an average of one or two months after graduation, with gross annual salaries ranging from €32,500 to €33,500. 80% of the school’s graduates typically start their careers in the private sector, with 41% finding work in the Rhône-Alpes region and 27% in Île-de-France (the greater Paris area). 13% of graduates choose to work overseas, and. 34% of graduates go on to pursue additional degrees such as research-track Masters, PhDs, technology research degrees, and teaching degrees.
