Movea is moving up! What better way to end the year than by signing a joint development contract with Décathlon, a major sporting goods retailer that now operates under the name Oxylane Group. The retailer, which already includes GPS-type technologies in some of its Géonaute electronic devices, will now add motion sensing to its line-up. The first high-tech product is slated to hit the market at year’s end. Movea’s R&D department will continue to work with Oxylane product designers to generate even more breakthrough ideas. Movea will also manufacture sensor cores. Oxylane Group reported sales of €5 billion in 2008 and has stores throughout Europe as well as in China, India, Russia, and Brazil. With access to such an expansive distribution network, Movea clearly has a wealth of opportunities ahead.
