Nanosafety in nine short videos
The Nanosmile team (a joint initiative between Liten and Grenoble University) is currently overseeing the production of nine videos explaining the risks of nanotechnology. These animated films range from three to fourteen minutes in length, and will be available in both French and English. They will be used at Nanosmile and during public events. A number of research teams from MINATEC, CEA-Saclay, and other local labs are contributing to the videos. The videos are designed to be as informative as possible, and will address topics like ethics, consumer safety, nanotech research, nanomaterial toxicity, and the ramifications of nanotechnology for individual rights. The videos are scheduled for release in March 2010 and will be shown at a “Midi MINATEC” brown-bag lunch.
