A passport that smoothes passenger traffic
Imagine a thorough passenger ID check in less than three seconds! Sagem has developed the IDeal PassTM electronic passport—the fastest on the market. The passport, whose performance was recently tested by CESTI* (at Léti), uses smart-card technology to speed boarding and deplaning processes at airports, while meeting the tightest security standards. Few people know about CESTI’s work at MINATEC because it is generally confidential. CESTI is one of three French centers authorized to test smart-card technology—testing that is mandatory to obtain official certification.
