INAC more attractive than ever to PhD candidates
Each year, INAC strives to attract increasing numbers of PhD candidates, and its efforts are paying off. This year, 40 PhD candidates will join the lab, up from 32 five years ago. The new cohort counts 18 international researchers (including 8 from other European countries) representing 8 different nationalities, as well as 11 women. Also worth noting: 13 of the incoming PhD candidates attended the last INAC Open House. While direct causation has yet to be demonstrated, the correlation is certainly encouraging!
The new crop of PhD candidates arrived on November 29, just in time for a seminar on education through research. The seminar included presentations of the different labs, tours, and tips from PhD candidates and thesis supervisors on how to perform successful PhD dissertation research.
