Leti builds a bridge to research triangle park

Advanced Liquid Logic, located in the heart of North Carolina’s research triangle park, has partnered with Leti to set up a French subsidiary here at MINATEC. Under this research collaboration, a joint four-person team will develop next-generation lab-on-chip technology for biology and healthcare applications. Each partner in this joint venture brings proven expertise in electrowetting, a technique that allows droplets to be placed electrically rather than mechanically—enabling the fabrication of smaller, more-reliable systems.

With this first expansion overseas, Advanced Liquid Logic hopes to enhance its industrial property and penetrate the European market with a first line of neonatal diagnostic products. Advanced Liquid Logic was founded in 2004 and currently employs 60 people.
