Junior Scientist & Industry Annual Meeting 2012

4th edition - March 30 2012- Maison MINATEC 

Following the success of previous editions, MINATEC, its  réseau jeune chercheur and AITAP, propose you to participate to the third edition of this event dedicated to connecting PhD students, Post-doc and the industry : the Junior Scientist & Industry Annual Meeting (JSIam). 

The goal of this day is to allow  future and new doctors to discuss about innovation, technology transfer and the role of the doctor in the industrial world with professionals from the industry area. In short, this is an excellent possibility for interested PhD to know which are their real possibilities in the industries of today. 

The event will be organized in 4 sessions:

Morning session:  Invited speakers from industry

During this session, three invited industrials will give a talk about the role and career of doctors in their companies (all the slides will be in english). All speeches will be followed by a discussion composed by two periods: in the first period industrials will debate and answer to questions submitted by the participants on our website, then the public will be able to interact directly with the speakers. 

Mid-day session: Midi MINATEC

The discussion with industrials will be followed by a special edition of the famous "Midi MINATEC" in which PhD students and Post-doc will show their video clips.  Within each clip, one PhD student can present to the public its work and invite interested people to have a later discussion in front of a poster during the following session.

Poster discussions at lunch time

During lunch time free sandwiches for everybody will be available in the poster room. At this moment students will be able to meet interested professionals, provide their CV and discuss with them.

At the end of lunch time best video clip will be awarded of a special price (list of the winners of last year is available here). 

Round Tables

In the afternoon session, several round tables will be held by professionals that will be available for answering to questions, correct curricula, give all sort of advices..
