Welcome Reception on Monday 4, May
On Monday 4th May, after the tutorials, the conference will start with a Welcome Reception at 19:00pm. The Welcome Reception will take place in the MINATEC building, located in :
House of Micro and Nanotechnologies, MINATEC Center
Parvis Louis Néel, 38054 Grenoble Cedex 9 - FRANCE
For already registered conference participants, it will also be possible to register before the Welcome Reception.
Gala Dinner at “The Bastille” on Wednesday, 5 May
The ASYNC - NOCS conference Gala Dinner will happen on Wednesday night and will take place in the well known and famous Bastille.
In the heart of Grenoble, welcome to La Bastille, a small fortified mountain located at the crossroad of three valleys, served by the first urban cable-car in the world. In a few minutes, days and night, the famous “bubbles” of Grenoble take you in the air from the center of the town up to the Bastille fortress. From the hilltop, discover the flattest town in France in its mountain setting! When the sun sets and the lights go down in the city, the view is outstanding.
In order to get to the restaurant, all conference participants will be offered the cable car. The cable car can be easily accessed from MINATEC conference center using public transportation.
For people who would like to go to the Bastille by walking, this is also possible in approximately a 1h00 walk. We need to say that this is a real mountain walking, you better have good shoots and some water ! But this is really worth the trip and you will remind it.

Touring in Grenoble area on Friday 7, May
On Friday 7th May will be organized a full day touring in the Grenoble area. The program will be the following : visit of the Grenoble downtown and historical center with a guide in the morning, a nice lunch in a Grenoble typical restaurant, and in the afternoon visit of the Chartreuse monastery, with a final visit of the Voiron Cave where are produced liquors by monastery monks.

This will be a unique opportunity to have a real Grenoble area experience, and to have an extra day in Grenoble to share with conference participants!
The schedule of the visit is the following:
9:00 : start from MINATEC Conference center
9h30 to 11h30 : Grenoble historical down town visit with a Guide
12h : lunch in Grenoble in a typical restaurant
13h30 : take the bus to go to the “Correrie”
14h30 to 15h45 : visit of the “Grand Chartreuse” museum
16h30 à 17h30 : visit of the “Voiron Caves”
18:00 : return in Grenoble
The organizers reserve the right of cancel the visit in case the number of participants is too low. In that case, reimbursement of the registered participants will be done.
Mountain Walking on Saturday 8, May
For people who would like to take advantage of their stay in Grenoble and would really like to enjoy mountain walking in nearby Grenoble Mountains, we propose to organize a one day mountain walking on Saturday 8 May. The idea would be to organize this as a costless event, self organized using our own cars, and we would share the picnic together.

According to the number of people we are, and also according to the Saturday weather, various hiking solutions are possible in the close area : Vercors Moucherotte, Belledonne and Chamrousse, Chartreuse Dent de Crolles, …
