Summer research internships at GIANT labs
With ISERE, a select number of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students from around the world are given the opportunity to perform research as interns at GIANT’s state-of-the-art laboratories.
Since 2011, the MINATEC Summer Program has brought foreign students—mainly from the University of Pennsylvania, Louisiana State University, and MIT—to MINATEC for 10- to 12-week research internships (from May to August). Participants are admitted on application to the ISERE program, where they get an opportunity to conduct their research at state-of-the-art MINATEC and GIANT labs. The goal is to give these students a deeper understanding of the research being carried out in France and enable them to discover Grenoble’s rich innovation ecosystem.
In addition to a unique research experience, ISERE also offers participants.
- Weekly talks on technology-related topics, followed by a networking lunch or dinner
- Visits of GIANT’s main research facilities like the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Institut Laue-Langevin, and Institut Néel
- An international weekend with Summer School @ MINATEC students
- Numerous social and cultural activities like wine and cheese tastings
