Noble metal-free (photo)anodes for (photo)catalytical water oxydation

This project aims to develop stable and efficient (photo) electrodes for catalytic oxidation and reduction of water, based only on abundant elements. Our original approach will be based on the development of nanocomposite materials consisting of a polymer film containing nanoparticles of metals deposited on a conductive electrode within which an organic dye can be incorporated. This type of design will pave the way for the development of new (photo) hybrid electrodes with high performance in terms of stability and efficiency for the dissociation of water in oxygen and hydrogen.
